Bunansa’s Plundering Extravaganza

The kingdom of Ivalice is in danger, better beat Ultima and save the realm do some sightseeing in Zeltennia

With both Beowulf and Reis now firmly committed to saving Ivalice, we were all but ready to go to the Orbonne Monastery in pursuit of Folmarv. That was, at least, until Agrias insisted we would go to Zeltennia. Ovelia was still there, under Delita’s protective wing, and she wanted to bid her goodbyes so she too was ready to fight the Lucavi.

Really, guys, the Lucavi would not be waiting for us forever. We really should be making haste –

Ramza, surprisingly, agreed. After all, he secretly wanted to know how Delita was faring after all this time. Which was… Rather well, apparently. In our absence he had become lord commander of the Order of the Southern Sky, much to Orlandeau’s dismay – but he had to continue to pretend he had been assassinated so he stayed his tongue. In the end, Delita did ensure he could escape his gaol in Fort Besselat and galavant off with us to – err – save Ivalice from the menace of the Lucavi (about that… Shouldn’t we, you know… ?), so the Thunder God owed him at least his own calculated silence.

At least Delita and the Order of the Southern Sky were doing well.

Disorder in the Order

Agrias had been satisfied with the Princess’s current predicament, and so we could finally press on to more important matters. We made our may towards the Monastery when a rumour hit our ears along the way – it may have been in Gariland, or…

Either way, whereas the Order of the Southern Sky seemed to be doing well since the battle at Fort Besselat, rumour had it that the Order of the Northern Sky had started to collapse, in no small part caused by the fall of Duke Larg and the disappearance of Zalbaag and Dycedarg — well, we know what had happened to them. The rest of Ivalice apparently didn’t.

A band of renegade knights of the Order had been terrorizing Gallione and had made the deserted Brigand’s Den their home in the wake of the confusion. We could not go and face the Lucavi until this matter was dealt with – we could not very well save an Ivalice in which people fought among themselves and cared not for casualties, Ramza decided and Agrias was – of course – in unison, so off we went again. To the Brigand’s Den to show these defectors some manners.

I watched the band of rogue knights from a distance, and Balthier joined me, quickly gleaning that there was treasure to be had. And where there was treasure, of course there had to be a sky pirate. He donned one of our Hermes Shoes, his Thief’s Cap, his Mirage Vest and took Cid’s Excalibur and rushed off to plunder the socks off those renegades. They deserve it, I heard him say as he disappeared, so I immediately followed him, tailed by an apprehensive Count Orlandeau, reminding Balthier not to scratch his sword and Ramza and Agrias, who – of course – could not resist dishing out some justice.

For the love of the Father, will we ever manage to reach the Orbonne Monastery?

I am Bathsua, wondering how Ultima hasn’t taken over yet with these guys, and these are my Memoirs.

  1. An interesting dialogue is worth comment. I feel that you must write more on this topic, it won’t be a taboo topic however generally persons are not sufficient to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers
