Now that Agrias had joined our company, aside from Mustadio being over the moon, we faced the realisation that we may have been running around the Mandalia Plains far too long. Even Lavian and Alicia had become far stronger than their commander, and we had to do something about it. Greg had discovered that neither Mustadio nor Agrias yet knew how to administer a hi-potion and didn’t even know what phoenix down did. We all decided we needed to change that.
Greg had quickly instructed them in the chemist ways, and we went about our way to help them both put it to practice. So we set out back to Goug, but not before sending Navarre, Lavian and Alicia on an errand to recover the contents of some sunken ship called the Highwind. There was little else to do until Mustadio and Agrias learned how to use our mobile apothecary anyway. Now, why does that ship’s name sound familiar?
Once in Goug, we realised that the roads were still blocked and the only way to get any experience under the belt was Balias Swale. Back to Warjilis, it was.
Balias Swale Revisited
As we disembarked, Navarre, Lavian and Alicia were already waiting for us. Had we been gone for eight days? Time does fly between Goug and Warjilis…
They had some amazing news and tons of Gil for us, and we finally managed to outfit everyone with the best equipment our Gil could buy. Thirsty for more gil and with still some time to spare, we sent Carmen, Greg, and Navarre to help the miners in Goug as we scoured Balias Swale for enemies. By the time we got back from a futile voyage, they had already come back to Warjilis laden with gil.
Greg was able to return to assist Mustadio and Agrias in battle and give some pointers, and Lavian and I offered support for battle. But it turns out we needed the support more than they did, as the two chemists-in-training were well equipped with their Romandan Pistols. Sure, Mustadio was already a decent shot, but I could tell Agrias enjoyed clipping an enemy from afar.
After two battle rounds, both chemists-in-training had enough experience and understanding of potions under their belt to be able to use them. Surely Ovelia was still not hanged yet? We’d better hurry, just in case.
I am Bathsua, trainer of chemists, and these are my memoirs.
